The heavy rain on at Bidborough Saturday afternoon, not only caused the cancellation of the senior 1st & 2nd team fixtures but the downpour meant that the Bidborough Rec was still unfit for play on Sunday morning despite the early morning sunshine. U13 Border League Division 1
First game of the season saw an excellent all-round team performance which resulted in a comfortable win for Bidborough. Holmesdale won the toss and decided to bat first, but were regretting that decision when Myles Lindley and Ben Morley took four early wickets to peg the away side back. Finally after the coldest winter in 20 years, the snow & rain finally faded away & the sun burst thru!!!
The U16 cricket season finally got underway with a tough away fixture to Sevenoaks Vine (played at Otford)

Bidborough Cricket Club Annual Dinner on Friday 19th October with guest speaker Henry Olonga.
Making his international debut in 1995, Henry Olonga was the youngest player and first black cricketer to play for Zimbabwe.
Henry achieved international recognition in 2003 by wearing a black armband in a Cricket World Cup match to protest against the policies of Zimbabwe’s government. (more…)
