Bidborough Juniors

Junior League

Bidborough Cricket Club is ClubMark Accredited and has an established coaching programme for boys and girls in school years 3 to 10.

The U9s squad is introduced to the game through a form of Kwik Cricket using a soft cricket ball, and play in friendlies and local tournaments. The U11s, U13s and U15s compete in a 20/20 type format, playing against other local Clubs.

Players in school years 5 to 10 attend indoor nets during the winter at the Judd School in Tonbridge. Outdoor practice sessions for all four squads are held weekly on the Village Recreation Ground during the cricket season. The Club has excellent facilities with access to an all weather practice wicket, mobile practice net and bowling machine. The Club has adopted and implemented the ECB’s Safe Hands – Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children, and is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable player friendly environment.

The Colts currently have a dedicated group of coaches and supporters, but as the numbers attending the club increase and the standards improve, more parents are needed to join the team. There are many ways that a parent can become involved and actively support their children such as scoring, umpiring, supporting practice sessions or catering at matches.
