Home Again

Weather permitting the Firsts are at home again tomorrow, Saturday 19th June against Division One newcomers Locksbottom. The match starts at 1.30 pm at the Arthur Nicholson Recreation Ground and all visitors and supporters are welcome.

First Team at Home!

Just in case you’d forgotten what our First XI looked like they finally have a home League match at the Rec on Saturday, when we welcome Meopham for a 13.30 start. Spectators and support always welcome.

Normal Service Resumed

A comprehensive victory at Linton Park for the Firsts, with several youngsters stepping up to fill gaps and not looking out of place. Dale lost the toss as per usual so we bowled and an excellent all round effort saw Linton Park all out for just 86, a total we were able to knock off in just 17 overs. And best of all, no injuries!

A Day to Forget

A humbling defeat away to Bearsted for the Firsts, with very little to cheer other than an excellent spell from Unders which didn’t get the rewards he deserved and four wickets for Steve behind the stumps, two caught and two stumped. To be fair the team looked very rattled by a nasty looking injury to Danno which saw him spending most of the afternoon in Maidstone hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery and thank Becca for her help in running him off to A&E in double quick time. Chasing 209 our batters just seemed to be picking out the fielders with every shot, which speaks of excellent field placing by the Bearsted skipper and bowlers bowling to their fields, and the ten survivors managed just 70 runs. So all that remains to be said is congratulations to Bearsted on a fine win and we move on to next week’s match away at Linton Park.
