Presidents Lunch

Heffle Cuckoos Cricket Club batted first and got off to a great start against some wayward Bidborough bowling. The weather worsened as the day progressed with strong winds and heavy rain saving the day for Bidborough when the match was abandoned shortly after lunch.
Shenley Moore provided all with an excellent spread and the Larkins Bitter was first class order of the day. The themed table flower arrangements – England, Australia, M.C.C and Cuckoos, were a lovely addition to the proceedings. Approximately half the Vice-Presidents sat down with our Cuckoo guests and a number of V.I.P’s were in attendance.
The new format worked well but much was learnt for next years event.
Now that the season has now come to and end just a reminder to pencil in Friday 18th October, Annual Cricket Dinner into the diary.
